Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska track and field team competed in the annual Intrasquad meet on Saturday at the Devaney Center Indoor Track.

Fans are invited and will enjoy free admission to watch the Huskers compete for the first time this year.

Nebraska track and field head coach Gary Pepin has announced the initial 2015 recruiting class, featuring eight new members to the women's team and one to the men's team.

The Nebraska track & field team will put on a pole vault exhibition at the Husker Nation Pavilion at Ed Weir Stadium from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Lincoln ? On Wednesday morning Nebraska track and field Head Coach Gary Pepin announced that Scott Cappos has joined the Husker staff as the team's throws coach.

A pair of former Huskers recently competed at the Commonwealth Games, as Chad Wright and Nicholas Gordon each represented their home country of Jamaica at Hampden Park Stadium in Glasgow, Scotland.
